Shirzanan:Fereshteh Movahed / translated by Roja Najafi: The second preparation camp of Iran women’s national basketball team has started with condition not better than their first preparation camp. Iran women’s basketball team is preparing itself for the West Asian championship competitions. Although the basketball officials in Iran basketball federation do not provide the women’s team with suitable basketball court and equipments, women basketball players are motivated and work hard. The first basketball preparation camp, which was canceled due to the heavy snowstorm, has followed by the second camp that struggles with new problems and shortages. One of the problems is that the International Basketball Federation, FIBA, did not approve the Islamic athletic basketball outfit that was offered by Iranian officials; so Iran women’s national basketball still have problems regarding attending to any international official games. For Iran women’s team, the west Asian competition is a good opportunity. Since these games are not sponsored by FIBA there is no concern about the Islamic outfit of Iran team, and at the same time the West Asian tournament has a credible history for Iran women’s basketball team to stabilize their reputation. .........
