The resigned coach of women’s national Judo team is back to work

Only two preparatory games before the first appearance in Asian Judo Championship

Shirzanan:Shabnam Shakourian /translated by Roja Najafi: while Iran women’s national judo team has left Tehran for Jeju, Korea, to attend Asian Judo Championships, because of the distressed situation of Iran’s Judo federation no one expects any medal or Olympic qualification out of this year’s championships.

Shirzanan reports that Iran’s Judo federation has had a rough couple of weeks; while many were worried about a group resignation of coaches of men’s team, suddenly Janet Saroluv, the head coach of women’s judo team, signed her resignation. The timing of this resignation made chaos in the federation because it was close to the Asian Games.

Although in her many interviews Zahra Pouramin, the deputy on women’s division in Judo federation, has stated that the absence of Janet Saroluv does not cause any problems for women’s team, behind the curtains the federation was working on the issue. One official from Judo federation explained, “the lack of coordination between people remaining from the previous federation and the new crew caused many problems for judo preparatory camps this year.
