Olympic and Discrimination

Shirzanan: An article on The Gazette (Montreal) by Daphne Bramham studies the statistics on gender discrimination in Olympics. These studies have shown that although there were many attempts to add in more sportswomen and female competitors in Olympic Games, there is still a clear gap between male and female athletes in specific events as well as among the heads of sports federations. This article presents a good observation on the attendance of women athletes in 2008 Beijing Olympics.
