Is there Women’s Sports Economy?

Shirzanan: This week, the Sport’s Business Journal had an article by Bill King on sports, sponsors and values. The article is called “Sports tell sponsors it’s all about value.” The article explains, “There really isn’t a women’s sports economy, per se. But there is common ground in pricing, at least when it comes to golf, soccer and basketball. All sell for significantly less than their male counterparts.” WNBA president believes that there is Value to be exchanged and explains, “We think we have a unique proposition at a price point that has real attractiveness in terms of what it comes with for companies.” But what about the sponsors? The World Traveler Cyclists Back Home

Shirzanan – Base on House of Artists in Tehran / translated by Roja Najafi: The two Iranian cyclists who traveled around the world cycling with a green mission are back home. The couple, Jafar Edrisi and Nassim Youssefi, has started their journey two years ago from House of Artists in Tehran and they finally are back. About their 2 year travel Nassim Youssefi said, “ It was ten years ago, first that we talked about this journey around the world. Every year we were upset that we haven’t gone to our ideal trip. Some years later we started with the Nature and Art club and we participated in their course on world traveling. So we started to plan for our trip professionally.”

Nassim explained, “ We were lucky to get to know other international cyclists who traveled around the globe and we prepared ourselves for our trip to inspire worldwide peace and friendship.” Nassim said, “ we chose peace because be both have seen war in our childhood. And because of we bout love nature we decided to plant trees in our path.”

“After we rode our bikes out of Iran we pass through Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands. Then we flew to Canada and we rode to US and the Japan, Korea, China, India and Pakistan. In February we entered Iran again through MirJaveh boarder. Of course we didn’t have any sponsors we paid for all our expenses ourselves we sold our car and belongings in Iran.
