The number of woman runners has increased in 2010 Asian Games
Shirzanan:Fereshte Movahed/translator-Roja Najafi: Leila Ebrahimi has sat up two new records in the recent national track and field championships. Using these new records as an excuse we are having an interview with her.
Q: In which fields you have set new records?
A: I changed the timing records of both Middle distance race (1500m) and Steeplechase (3000m).
Q: How was the level of the games? Are you ready for the Macao Games?
A: this series of games where outdoors and there was not much change comparing to the last three rounds. There are 4 new national records and these show how well prepared our athletes were. I am preparing myself for Macao games and after the month of Ramadan I will carry on with my practices. I only think of wining and gaining medal in Macao games.
Q: What do you think of Iranian Women in Track and Field?
A: the fact that the number of woman runners has increased shows Iranian women have improved a lot in track and field. Our women are more motivated and well trained.
