translator-Roja Najafi: My parents, both, are Volleyball players and I was raised in a sport-oriented household. Base on this background I have always liked to participate in athletic activities. I was nine when I showed any interest on Chess. I remember that my mom’s friend took me out to Bahman Cultural-House where some chess classes were taking place. I was very curious and after questioning around I registered for their chess classes.

The first report from Supervisory Committee of Women’s Sport

Shirzanan/translator-Roja Najafi:The National Olympic Committee has chose sixteen members of a supervisory committee of women’s sport. The selected committee has studied the situations and conditions of women athletes’ that are going to compete in 2010 in sixteen athletic fields in the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou.

The supervisory committee’s report shows that more than eighty percent of women athletes are unsatisfied by the lack of planning and inconvenient scheduling. The report also shows that most of athletes are disappointed by lack of equipment, low budgets and late paychecks.
