Hajar Nejatizadeh, the deputy manager of the volleyball federation on women’s division
We need to appoint braver coaches
Shirzanan:Fereshteh Movahed: The deputy manager of the volleyball federation on women’s division is very busy these days. Iran Women’s national volleyball team has just returned from their first oversea trip. They have experienced wearing the Islamic sport outfit. Put aside the team’s weaknesses and capabilities, now is the time to talk about the needs and requirements of the women’s volleyball team. In an interview with Shirzanan Hajar Nejatizadeh shares her plans for the future of the team and especially for the first Abu Dhabi international volleyball tournament:
“ In order to have a powerful and strong presence in Abu Dhabi’s tournament we need to have braver coaches for our women’s team. Based on our experiences from our matches in the Thailand tournaments and with Austria’s University team we decided to make grave changes within our technical staff.”
Nejatizadeh continued: “ The Abu Dhabi tournament has been postponed at least for10 days. The exact time is not scheduled yet. 9 teams from Japan, Egypt, Kuwait, Emirates, Nigeria, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, and Iran will attend in this tournament. We are looking for a brave and well-known coach. We have one of the best coaches and we will still use him as a consulter but we are looking forward to a well-respected female coach for our team. For now and before our preparatory camp starts, our team members are playing for their private club teams. We will keep some short time camps so they can coupe with on another until we exactly know when is the time of the tournament.”
Volleyball federation deputy manager added: “ the confidence and technical skills of our players have heightened and this was clear in their last matches.”
About the Islamic sport outfit Nejatizadeh explained: “ we will start wearing these outfits for the next year’s volleyball league and that is mostly because we need more time to get used to these outfits both culturally and technically; wearing an Islamic clothing makes everyone to expect that men audiences should be allowed also to watch the games and this is what we want to avoid. Until next year we are planning to wear the Islamic outfit only in our official matches so that our volleyball players gradually get use to them.”
