Shirzanan:Soheila Malmaly-translated by/Roja Najafi: I was born in 1985 in Khuzestan. I loved and practiced football since I was a child. For the last 2 years I have played football in a professional level; it exactly means from the birth of Women National Football team in Iran. To win India was very important for me. It is going to be our first presence in AFC Women’s Asian Cup. Our team was very inspired in this game and thanks to God we were able to gain the victory. In this match we worked in harmony. Naturally everyone wants to be the star of the game and make the goals on their own and this caused a lot of solitary movements from some of my teammates. In any case I am glad that I scored the first goal; I really don’t know how to express my happiness; I made the first goal and somehow that first goal motivated everyone in our team.

All this happened despite the fact that the coaches of both teams where men. The present of photographers not only would let us to spread the news of Iran’s victory faster but also it would made the game more pleasant by lessening audiences protests. The public safety authorities played an interesting trick near the end of the match; the tried to resolve the problem by discharging, Mr. Lotfie, Iran’s coach, from the bench and that only caused more uprising within the fans.
