Many still don’t know that Iranian women have these abilities. This will be a good start for other bilateral connections between Iran and its neighbors. We will invite them to Iran for future friendly races.” Also in this report Hale Nekoui told Shirzanan: “I am very happy to see that the federation has trusted women’s national equestrian team. I think we deserve this trust and we can keep up with the good reputation of Iran Equestrian sports.”

This surprising decision also has its obstacles; Iranian Horses will be held in quarantine and it is still a big problem. In this regard the head of the Iran equestrian federation, Mr. Tabesh said: “ we had meetings with agriculture ministry and the veterinarian organization to solve this problem. But the head of the Veterinarian Organization was changed recently and so the issue of quarantined horses is still in place. We hope to solve this problem soon so we can sent our horses to the games.”

In the other hand, the officials point out that in the social extent “sport” is an important factor in young women’s health; Sport provides a healthier and happier life and it is a tool to avoid many social disorders. In this regard women athletes say that the availability of equipped athletic facilities is one of the aspects; the more important issue they say is to motivate young people to engage in athletic activates. They believe that the most effective way of motivating young girls is the idea of international and overseas competitions. Sport specialists see the two of public sport and professional sport as two ends of a beam; the weakness in each end makes the other end week as well. They say if we want to improve public sports for women we need to work on women’s professional sports. There is no end to professional sports; even an Olympics Gold medalist want to win yet once more.

On women’s sports, Setareh Hedayatkhah (one of the women member of the Iranian Parliament) said: “ the attendance of a Muslim woman in an athletic filed in international events should be in a manner of Islamic law and it should not hurt the Islamic believes of our nation.” Rafaat Bayat, another women member of Iranian Parliament said: “the idea of participating in International athletic events with Islamic athletic outfits, was founded in 1990. There was no problem when women’s affair were supervised and managed under female deputy managers. But the new regulations eliminated this deputy position. I believe the Athletic Federations are not qualified to supervise women’s sports and the management should comeback under women themselves.”

Parliament member from Talesh added that the sport is not only for men. In our society it belongs to everyone and in every level. Bahman Yari said: “ I support women’s presence in athletic fields outside the country as long as their clothing fits the Islamic standards. Participation of Muslim women in international athletic events has a positive effect on other countries about Iran.” He continued “it is impossible to close the borders to those who want to have their share in their homeland’s destiny.”
