How many of you would think women’s football in Iran has the history of 38 years. When we heard it from Khadijeh Sepanji, the former deputy manager of Iran football federation on women’s affair, that women’s football in Iran has a background of 38 years we were astonished. Sepanji says that women’s football in Iran started in 1970 when, for the first time, in smaller cities women entered men’s local football teams as a goalkeeper or a player. Based on this and with women’s increasing interest in football Iran football federation decided to send some of these women to FIFA’s coaching classes to learn football.......
